About Tournafest

I spearheaded the design of the Tournafest app, now known as GGNation, from its inception in July 2021 until December 2022.

My Role

I had the privilege of leading the design of the Tournafest app, which has since evolved into GGNation, from its genesis in July 2021 through to December 2022. During this period, I was afforded the opportunity to collaborate with and mentor two interns, Siddesh and Rajat, who contributed to the project.

Project Overview

Purpose of website: website aims to provide a comprehensive overview of our organization, offering insight into our identity, values, and the range of services or products we provide.

Gamer and Organizer Profiles

The development of Gamer and Organizer Profiles began with interviews with gamers and organizers to gather valuable insights into their experiences, preferences, and requirements.

Based on the collected data, wireframes were created to outline the structure and layout of the profiles. These wireframes provided visual representations of the proposed designs, allowing for iterative improvements before moving on to the implementation phase.

Map Veto

In competitive gaming, "map veto" refers to the process of selecting or eliminating specific maps from a pool of available maps before a match or tournament. It is commonly used in games such as first-person shooters (e.g., Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Rainbow Six Siege) or real-time strategy games (e.g., StarCraft II).

Conclusion

Engaging with this particular visual style has proven to be an enlightening experience. However, upon reflection, it is apparent that the content could have benefited from a more refined structural organization. Enhanced coherence and systematic arrangement would have further elevated the quality and effectiveness of the material.
